Referring to Us
We are pleased to offer a range of ways in which your patients can access our MSK services.
We accept referrals from health and social care practitioners working in primary care, secondary care and in the community.
All referrals sent are received into our Single Point of Access (SPoA) where they are reviewed and triaged accordingly.
Please note, paper referrals will be phased out over 2024. Information regarding this will be circulated in due course
Below are some of the ways in which you can refer patients to us.
SystmOne referral (sometimes known as e-referral)
If you use SystmOne, you have a choice as to how you can refer your patients to us.
You can quickly and easily send a direct SystmOne referral to us (this will be available to all of Norfolk and Waveney over 2024) or alternatively, you can refer your patients using this form.

Email referral form
If you do not have access to SystmOne or would prefer an alternative referral route for your patient, please complete this form.
Completed email referral forms must be sent to nowmsk@ecchcic.nhs.uk

NHS e-Referral Service (Choose and Book)
The NHS e-Referral Service (Choose and Book) can only be used for patients who are being referred to the Musculoskeletal Assessment and Triage service (formerly known as Orthopaedic/MSK Triage) for secondary-care referral assessment.
This should also use the new standardised referral form which should be completed and attached into the NHS e-Referral Service submission (previously Choose and Book) – selecting the option “Norfolk & Waveney Musculoskeletal Assessment and Triage Service (MATS)”.
